I am running Windows XP Home on my laptop.

 

 

 

I have been playing RS on here for months with no problems

 

whatsoever.

 

 

 

However, starting yesterday it suddenly won't load past the "Loading Animations - 90%" phase.

 

 

 

I have tried several different worlds, P2P & F2P.

 

I have checked for SpyWare and Adware.

 

I have tried on 3 different browsers, AOL, IE6 & FireFox.

 

I have tried all the different Java options on the details screen.

 

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the Sun and MS Java versions seperately.

 

I have made sure all updates are downloaded and installed.

 

 

 

I went onto the Official RS Tech Forum where people were having

 

similar problems, yet no-one knows how to solve it.

 

 

 

If anyone knows anything else that may solve this problem, or if you

 

need anymore information please don't hesitate to ask, I just want to try

 

and get this sorted ASAP.

if its faster than JaGeXs than u have gotta have freezes but not full long term stops (i've had it to, it fixes itself)

As far as your problem, assuming you did everything correctly, you seem to have tried pretty much everything. The only thing that I can think of is that it might be an issue with AOL (which I'll assume is your isp). Do you have any other computers using the same ISP that you can try?

NO, It DID HAPPEN!!!! :angry: it was year ago, when changing from RS CLASSIC to 3D, if i still had the report u would believe me

Look... I'm fairly certain that Jagex is running their servers off of fiber that is a good deal faster than any of our internet connections. This has nothing to do with any freezing problems that anyone is having.

I know I shouldn't continue this, but it's far too funny to pass up. So, you're saying that 5 years ago when we were all using 56k, jagex was using something much slower to host a 2000 player gaming server?

Now, now children, settle down.

 

 

 

Anyway, I had this problem while my speed was slowed. It would seem to get stuck on something while updating but if i left it, it would usually get past it and finish getting the updates.

 

 

 

As i said in the other thread that had a similar problem to this, the only solution i can offer is to let it do its thing. Just start it up and let it get all the updates it needs. Go do something else for 10-15 minutes while it updates and then it should be fine.

i think i have the same problem. would it totally freeze or just go really really slow?

and about you two fighting about that 5 year old issue it was 5 YEARS AGO nad if jagex ran slower then everyone else then there would be no runescape. ok?

Last week it seemed to work suddenly, it was ok, but still lost connection

 

sometimes.

 

 

 

Now this week there was a system update, I was actually on RS at the time

 

 

 

I logged off shortly before the update counter got to 0, tried to log on 10

 

minutes later, and the problem is back.
