woopidoo2
Ive got a new guitar for a few months now (semi-acoustic) and there were a few things wrong with it, some tones werent clear, but thats fixed now. Now my guitarteacher told me hes got a guitar at home wich has ''Elixir Strings'' on it, they sound great, but are quite expensive though. I asked him how much they were, but he forgot due to the fact he bought it 4 years ago. Do you own a guitar with Elixir Strings on it? What type of strings you got? How about the effect, if it sound is better etc. Help plz? :) [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]
thingummywut
You really have only one option if you want the ultimate strings: experience yourself. I personally use Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings since they feel and sound good to me, plus last pretty long. Elixir strings are little more expensive because they have this special layer on them which "enhances" the sound and makes the strings last even longer. Personally I prefer Ernie Ball, anyways. Like with all equipment, you will just have to experience yourself and pick your own favourite. EDIT: And that was about electric guitar strings. The same experience rules apply to acoustics too, of course. With my acoustic one I use D'Addario.
