Suggestions for churning (some have been suggested before)

Featured Replies

Churning is a boring and time-consuming way to make dairy products for the cooking skill. After the Recipe for Disaster quest was released, I gathered that many fewer people will use churning at all because it is easier to buy from the chest.

A friend of mine suggested that milking cows should give farming XP. This could be about 1-5 XP per bucket in much the same way that spinning wool and flax gives crafting XP. Granted, there is a possibility that people may abuse this to avoid farming the lowest level seeds. The other possible alternative that I can think of is auto-filling all buckets in inventory with milk for each click, like is done filling various containers with water at pumps and fountains.

Churn-x has been suggested before and I think it's perfectly reasonable compared to cook-x and other -x options. Churning would still be time consuming, but there would be less clicking involved.

I support. I hate to have to click 28 times to milk a cow.

I prefer to spend my time killing stuff, but this idea still makes sense to me :D
