I'm trying to train a F2p Melee Pure and i need some advice. I am doing this in stages:

Stage 1:

Atk->5 (to wield steel weaponry)

Str->25

(huge jump but...)

Stage 2:

Atk->20 (Mith Weaponry)

Str->40

Stage 3:

Atk->30(addy)

Str->55

Stage 4:

Atk->40(rune)

Str->as high as possible

(If anyone has any additional training tips, plz post!)

Just wondering but does a melee pure (well, strength pure) need any defense at all?

Also, when pking with clan, what would be the best combination (archers, melee, mages)?

Plz give me some advice.

Thanks!

(Funny fact: I walked around yesterday with green halloween mask and 5 ppl said i had dragon head, and 1 tried to buy it for 2k!!!)

Okay...maybe it wasn't that funny... =P

Yes, good option. Toug, on 20 Attak, you might also go to 50 Strenght.

Anyway, it's your call he?

Melee Places? Well with full Iron (I hope you got that for easyer training, I did it with monk robes, costed me lots of food!).

Start = Chickens (Duh...)

Next = Goblins (Goblin Village)

Next = Monks (not optional but can do)

Instead of monks = Dwarfs in Dwarf Mines

Next = al-Kharid Warriors (Very fast! But very crowded, so not adviced)

Next = Al-Kharid Scorpions (easy and good exp)

Then see for yourself a little bit. Jail Guards, Skeletons, Zombies, It's all good exp...

For a new pure, I favour:

Stage 0 :-

Str to 3 in the Tutorial rat cage

Atk to 8 on the Varrock dummies

Also find the right time to get the attack XP bomus on Vampire slayer.

As for defence, with 1 defence (full iron), then at higher combat levels, I'd go for 20 ranged (Studded legs), or 40 ranged (Dragonhide legs and vambs) - the advantage of the semi-ranger kit at this level, is that the legs (even the studded) are better than iron.

I also have a steel guy, considerably more robust than an ironclad - unles facing mage opponents, when leathers are much better, Steel is probably a combat level well spent - not sure how full steel compares with Iron + dragonhide though.
