imhomer
GRRRRRRR! :wall: Ok, sorry for the spam title. I have just spent the past 3 days trying to get making water right. I've tried everything in paint, airbrush, curved lines, tried drawing real thing in paint, even tried drawing things by hand (of which I have no skill). Could anyone, anyone point me in the right direction? Edit: And yes, I have tried google

Kryptic
What you really should do, is actually look at a glass of water, and choose out the colours you see, and start pixeling. Looking through google is ok, but zooming into anothers pixel art doesnt really achieve anything but a duplicate. Make your own water from scratch.. Who said it was easy? In Khazakstan we say God, Man, Horse, Dog, then Woman, Rat and small cockroach..M.A.D 4 Lyfe
misterxman
Rl glass of water is only going to help you draw water in small containers, not for stuff like seas and rivers. Just keep trying google to find a real good pic. When you find one, don't focus on details or tiny parts of colors, try to generalize regions of different shades/colors so that you're not overwhelmed with soo many colors and so many spots to put them in. An example that parallels this is that if you were to draw the Earth from space view, you'd see the planet is full of colors from, but a very simple generalization could just break them all down to brown, yellow, green, blue. 4 colors, placed and used well together, can have a realistic effect like the endless colors that appear on the real thing.
