Adam007
I'd like to improve my audio, so a few weeks ago I went out to buy a new pair of speakers. I'm not sure if the guy knew what he was talking about, but he said that the type of speakers won't effect the sound I get, and that if I want better sound, I'd need to buy a sound card. Right now I have the speakers and soundcard that came with the computer, so if I wanted to get better sound, would I need to buy a new pair of speakers, or a new sound card? I'll look up my hardware specs if that would make a difference. Thanks in advance.
tunaboy692004
What do you mean by improve your audio, do you mean the overall quality of it, or just the loudness of it? Current Goals80/80 Fletching60/75 Woodcutting97/100 Combat

weezcake
I believe you need to get a new sound card. You could have the best speakers in the world, but without a good card, it won't play at its best :) ==================================Retired tip.it moderator.Teaching and inspiring. Adam007
Then why do companies bother selling speakers in the first place? How do I know that my speakers aren't the limiting factor?
Phil
Then why do companies bother selling speakers in the first place? Because if they didn't no-one would be able to hear any sound at all :P How do I know that my speakers aren't the limiting factor? Maybe try your speakers with a friends computer which has a decent sound card? Or try friends speakers which would be decent quality with your computer?
