Should I bump up my mage level before doing DT?

Once I hit 53 thieving, would I be able to pull off DT? Or should I bring my magic level up first? *points to sig*

 

 

 

Thanks for the help. And what spell should I use on them? Waves, blasts, etc.

Hmm... 61 mage? You could DO it at that level, with a bit of luck and determination, but I think you should go for a little higher. 65+ would be NICER, but not necessary. I did it at 62 or 3, don't remember.

 

 

 

I had a LOT of luck, as I did it with the minumum I could, and got REALLY lucky on most of the monsters.

Hit him with fire blast, fareed with water blast, and the other two with earth blast.

I hate using mage and i meleed my way through DT without too much problem (was 90+ combat though).
