RS Slang.

Hello Tip.It community and staff,

I am so glad to be apart of this community! Before I go into my questions, I want to explain this odd phenomenon which you are about to see. I stumbled over Runescape out a year and a half ago when I went to miniclips to get my fix of small java based games. I found this game and just thought I would try it out, I had no idea it was a MMORPG. So over the time, I was scammed, and backstabbed, so I never trusted anybody. None of my rl friends play this game so I have always played by myself. I very rarely talk to anyone, unless a newb asks me where to go or how to do something, in which I will explain or show them how to do it. Until recently, I stumbled over some guys playing, and we just started talking and I slowly learned that not everyone in runescape is trying to rip me off or beg for things. I had been using this GREAT site for about a year now, but I have never posted on the forums because I thought they would be as crazy as the RS forums, but they are not, they are very well regulated. Anyways, now that I have been reading lots of people talk about RS I have a bunch of questions to some terms used.

Now you can laugh it up that a level 84 combat doesn't know these terms, or you can help me out, (I'm hoping most of you will help me out) so please try not to laugh so hard when you read these questions.

What is a pure account? Compared to an unpure account?

What is a PJ or a PJer?

I know that P2P is members (me!) and F2P is non-members, however I never really bothered to understand what the terms mean.

And not really runescape just trying to brush up on the old 1337 speak, what does ftw mean?

Once again, try not to laugh that hard, and I did try the search button, but my questions were a little to broad and nothing or everything showed up. And if there is any other RS slang you think I should know please post it.

Thanks

Well..after I get up from rolling around on the floor from all that laughing :P ok not really..

The most general definition of a pure account is one that has some very high skills in relation to it's other skills.

So you have wc pures, maybe with low stats but very high wc ect ect.

You also have combat based pures, the more common type. These generally have very high str range and or mage, with low defence so they hit very hard for their level - for instance a very good level 65 mage pure can use ice barrage (!!!) at the cost of having 1 defence.

Pj is another pking team, meaning "pile jump". When you kill someone, all their stuff is in a pile and then while your trying to pick it up someone else might attack you, ie pile jump you. The person attacking is a pjer.

p2p means pay to play, f2p means free to play :P

ftw means "for the win"

BS=Back stab (pk term) or bow strings

"unpure accounts" that you mentioned are generally called balanced, and are usually the player's main.

Most of them are self-explanatory, but I thought bs meant something totally different at first  so I thought I'd let you know.

Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown; ignorance can be educated and drunkeness sobered, but stupid is forever.

If I recall correctly an unpure is also a player who has trained trained up his magic and prayer level so much that it affects the combat level.

There are more pk terms in this sticky if you're interested http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=418847

Welcome to the forums by the way :D
