hamgod316
I would like to get higher herblore levels. I am 54 right now and it seems like forever to level. I have been farming a lot and I am almost up to Kuarm. I get most of my herbs from farming and Chaos Druid drops but it still takes a while. What are some good ways to make training herblore a little easier and quicker? - Affliction - 100 Combat - 9/15/06Merchant / Skiller
rft
im 62 herblore, and I still find it a massive grind to do herblore. The problems I have is that it takes me quite a long time just to get 1 inv full of herbs. If you equate that inventory of herbs to xp - it is not very much :-(. Some advice I can give you: 1. keep up with the herb growing -definitely a good cheap way to get herbs 2. buy your herbs. I basically spend all my money on herbs. I recently spent 1 mil on them in world 2. The downside to this is that you get a lot of guams, marrentil and tarromin. Be prepared to have to collect a lot of seconds for these 3. If you do buy your herbs, make sure you know the best place to get seconds e.g. wildy for unicorn horns, nardah for chocolate etc. getting seconds is even more time consuming that getting the herbs, so getting a high level will be painfully slow if you do both. 4. If you kill druids to get herbs, drop marrs, guams and tarromins. Also use the vials to mix your herbs and save inv space. 5. Kill salarin the twisted to get sinister key - you get some nice herbs from him. (needs high agility though) 6. Use ash with your tarromins. (need to have done shades of mortton first). This means that you save your limps for the super strength potions, as they are quite slow to acquire. (i;m currently in the process of having to make 519 tarromin potions - ash is much quicker than pimps for the same xp) Best Barrows Chest: guth skirt, dh helm, dh axe, racks, gp (23/08/06); best tt reward: robin, guthix helm, guthix legs, nats, rune legs
kdb148
Just buy Irit leaves. Go to world 2 fally, and shout out "buying irits 1.5k each!" and you will get plenty of sellers. Unfortunately, most will only have a few herbs for you, and it takes an hour or 2 to get enough herbs to even level up once. But it's the best way to level, because as rft pointed out, getting seconds is even harder than getting herbs, and you'll have a far easier time getting eye of newt than any other second. Although hopefully you've been stockpiling limps for when you get to 55 - I had over 300 stashed and was very happy as a result. Keep farming while you're buying, the extra free herbs have an excellent effect on your profit margins. Quick way to get eye of newt - carry an air staff, and a bunch of laws and waters. Run to Taverly shop, buy 25, tele back to fally and repeat. You could alternately take some charged glories to Port Sarim and run there from Draynor bank and tele back, but both methods are about the same amount of time. Best way to get vials that is, as far as I know, virtually unknown is to go to the Catherby farming store, buy 27 plant cures, and WALK back to the bank, emptying vials out as you go. Bank, RUN back to the farming store, and repeat. The store replenishes its stock of plant cure very quickly, you can buy probably 400-500 vials this way before the stock level becomes a problem. At which point, just change worlds. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
