help :makin steel knives

i am thinkin of makin about a k of steel knives and im goin to mine and smith them all my self so i need to tknow where would the best place for this be. if its in the dwarven city i need to know which quest it is to be able to get in there

 

 

 

edit: is there a anvil near that place

The best place, if you ask me, would be Ardougne coal and Iron mine. No quests required :-)

Mining coal I would say coal trucks west of Seers, but I'm no expert and I'm sure opinions will vary. Iron, I'm not so sure but I have heard people say Yanille is good.

 

 

 

For smelting Al-Kharid, is my favorite although I'm a bit of a newb and apparently Port Phasmatys is better.

 

 

 

I have always smithed in Varrock because the anvil is about 5 meters from the bank.

for smithing, varrock or yanille have anvils right next to the bank. For smelting, al kharid is pretty good. Personally, I use the blast furnace, cos you only have to use half the coal. You need the giant dwarf quest I think (or at least to have started it) to make it worthwhile. You also really need to have 60 smithing to use the anvil next to the furnace.

Iron-I use the mines west of fally, south of taverly. If you have around 30 agi you can hop right oveer the wall.
