May 10, 200620 yr Well i would wait about a month (maybe less) for the new AMD socket AM2. This will support DDR2 memory and faster processors comming out (X2 5000+ and FX62).
May 11, 200620 yr Author Hmm....do you think it'll fit the budget and will i need to upgrade everything else? Because i cant have too fast of a procceser without other hardware that can compare.
May 11, 200620 yr It's not suppose to be to much more than current motherboards and processors. Although the prices for the new processors that arn't on socket 939 already are undisided (or atleast i don't know them). Even if it will not give to much more preformance you will get a better upgrade path in the future.
May 11, 200620 yr Author Aye, thanks, but do you think i'll have to wait another month for it to subside to a reasonable price?
May 11, 200620 yr Aye, thanks, but do you think i'll have to wait another month for it to subside to a reasonable price? They should be a resonable price when they come out. Although the DDR2 memory may be a bit more in price, but it's faster than DDR.
May 11, 200620 yr Author K' thanks. But, errm, there are quite a few "shoulds" in your post. Anyway i can find out for sure if my other ideas are compatible?
