Solarain
The forums here are confusing to me, as the subjects are scattered everywhere, so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong spot. The quest guide for Tai Bwo says you need 5K of gold. I don't know why it states this, as it's just not true. You might need around 200 gold or so for traveling around Karamja, and for the rum - and maybe to identify herbs would run into some larger amount of money if you don't have high herblore. And possibly having to buy karambwan if you can't catch and cook it yourself. But that amount should at least be explained. The guide also states to save the monkey bones once the monkey is skinned, but that isn't necessary either. They just take up pack space and are never used for the quest. While it's true that level 65 fishing isn't required to catch the Karambwan, it is necessary to get another player to catch it for you (or buy raw from another player - cooking is yet another matter). You can't buy the karambwan at the vendor in Brimhaven because it's already cooked white, which won't work for the quest. People ask where they can get a spear since you can't smith one. If you just kill any of the tribesmen on the island, they will drop spears of the type needed. Hope this helps. Solarain

Noctis
It's likely that you should take 5k gold for any unforseen expenses, like you get poisoned a lot and have to buy antipoisons. Or the player you asked to buy you a raw karambwan is overcharging you for it. It says to get a player who's finished the quest to buy a raw one from Tiadeche in the village. Not the Brimhaven vendor. The part where it tells you to save the monkey bones is stupid. Why is that part in there?
