s00pa_d00pa
Sound does not work for me while playing RuneScape on Mozilla Firefox, any idea how to Fix This?
Olgath
You can't. Jagex uses the bgsound element which is not part of the html standard. Supposedly they are supposed to fix this issue this month. All you can do is wait and hope it works, or switch back to IE or the official client.

Gwarfon
Here's a plugin that might help: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=596625 Haven't used it, but it looks like it might do the trick.
Olgath
It's already been tried before. Sadly it doesn't work.

Vape
http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=352242 It's not to do with embed/bgsound, it's to do with the java midi thingymajiggy. Anyways, Jagex said they expect their new game engine (which will fix the problem) to be released this month :D Where the bloody hell are you? The java code is geared more towards IE(heck, even the javascript code in the browser is designed for IE). Even if the java did work correctly, firefox won't play the bgsound element, unless they added it in newer versions, which would be weird.

Olgath
Copied straight from the runescape page: I wrote a greasemonkey script to replace the bgsound elements with embed elements, and could play a streaming file from another website, but it was very very slow.
