  1. A fairly decent, cheap graphics editor is Paint Shop Pro. You can probably find an older version on ebay for around $20.

You think his firewall is blocking the site? If it's a work 'puter, perhaps. But I'm assuming he wouldn't be trying to play RS from work - and that if he were, he'd figure out pretty soon that the site is blocked. If it's a home 'puter, nanny software might be blocking RS. Viruses might also tag RS as a threat, although I know of no virus targeted at RS. But a standard software firewall should have no problem with RS. Another possibility is that the security settings in IE are jacked up too high. BTW, I've had Java crap out on me twice on RS. Had to uninstall - reinstall both times. So yes, it does happen.
  3. Here's a plugin that might help: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=596625 Haven't used it, but it looks like it might do the trick.
  4. People - just think for a minute, OK? IE 7 is a BETA. It's from Microsoft. 'nuff said.

Looks like it might be a problem with the browser cache. That or Java got corrupted. For browser cache: I'm assuming you are using Internet Explorer. If so, 1) Click Tools, then click Internet Options. 2) In the center of the window that pops up, click Delete Files. 3) A smaller window will pop up. Check the box that says "Delete all offline content" and click OK. This will take a minute or two. When it's finished, close your browser, open it again, and try the Runescape website. If that doesn't do it, re-install Java: 1) Click Start, then Control Panel (might be inside the Settings folder if it's not visible from Start). 2) Click "Add-Remove Programs" (or something very similar). NOTE: You might need to double-click, depending on your setup. 3) When the list comes up, click "J2SE Runtime Environment" and click the "remove" button. This will un-install Java. 4) Go to the RS page and re-install Java when prompted. If that doesn't fix it, throw the 'puter out the window and go play a game in rl.
