It isnt ILLEGAL on runescape, but it is advised against. Since jAgEx didnt make it, they can't guarentee the safety of peoples' accounts who use it. As of now, i haven't heard of anyone who lost their account to it, but i don't use it and i would advise against it. It IS however is illegal to post pictures on the Tip.It forums that include Swift Switch in them. if you want to post a pic, you must crop out any signs of swift switch.

Jagex advise against using any third party clients as they may install keyloggers or other malicious code on your system and compromise your account.

 

 

 

That said, The swftswitch client uses the exact same java applet as the runescape client, it simply has other things like links to specific serves, stats lookups and calculators that you could otherwise have arranged on your screen alongside the jagex runescape client. Swftswitch isn't against Jagex's rules because they only refer to software which provides you with some advantage over the game, whereas swiftswitch merely provides the convenience of grouping together commonly used applications that are not advantageous in any manner.

I just really want it for the Stat Lookup bar which is more convinient than high scores and is very useful for looking up stats quick during staking.

It is what tip.it says about this issue, and info from Jagex included.

SO pretty much they just cant guarantee our safety because the maker might try to steal our usernames and passwords, but it isn't illegal to use it.

 

 

 

Fine by me SwiftSwitch has been out and used for a while and I am sure even if it was a keylogger there are richer people than me.

first of all its swiftSWITCH[hard to pronouce :lol: ] amd i dun think its illegal..yeha it does make tha game faster a lil bit i guess..doesnt lag as much :)
