i really need my smithing lvl to go up a lot. i've been smelting steel bars, and idk if i have to go back to iron and make full male&women? u will c my smithing lvl at my stats.

Lots of hard work I guess. Your magic isn't high enough for superheat and your mining isn't high enough for the guild. So it's either hard work or buying ores/bars

so u suggest that i raise my mining up to 60 and buy a rune pick?

Rune picks and high mining are well worth it in their own right.

 

 

 

However, I think most high level smithers will tell you that it is much quicker to buy ores and sell bars than mine your own. However, mining your own is much better for the purposes of profit.

you got to make like 1k steel bars at once, 45 isn't realy :? good, go mine like 1K or more iron, then coal at the sceltons ( :? spelling) at lvl 10wildy (better take food here to deffend your self agianst the monsters there/ but there are like 30 rocks to mine and almost no one els, maybe 1person) or go mine in the edgville swamps (less ore and more people here) till your lvl 60 mining and then you can enter the mining guild and mining coal wil go like nothing.

 

 

 

by the time you mined ores for lvl 60 mining you will have a few k steel bars to make and then sel 600gp ea

 

 

 

warning: tis wil take a long time and wil be verry boring :roll:

if youre serious about smithing, you shouldnt have to think twice about getting a rune pick. GET ONE!! you need to get your mining up to 60 to get into the mining guild if youre going to be doing high smithing later on. your first target should be 48 to make full steel armor. mine coal in barb village or scorpion mines in al kharid. if you can get there off peak times when competition is less, do it. bank everything. also mine iron and silver in varrock south west mines. forget about bronze completely. when you make steel bars, hammer them into steel items, and try to sell them to specialty shops. youll have to do a lot of running around for ores, furnaces, anvils and shops, but youll see that goal getting closer and closer, and it will come faster than you expect. finally youll be able to make steel plates. congratulations!

 

 

 

when you achieve 48 smithing youll realise that full steel is absolutely worthless on the market, so your new goal will be level 68, for full mith. by this time your mining should be above 50, hopefully above 55. mine all the mith and coal you can. use the falador mines and the lumbridge swamps for your coal and mith, but also keep a good stock of steel in your bank. by this time forget about iron smithing, unless youre a member by then.

 

 

 

once you get to level 60 mining, this is your plan to get your smithing up. mine about 4k-5k coal in the guild (mine mith if you can too). buy 2k iron (or mine it if your patient enough (or pick up in al kharid from power miners) ) and make 2k steel bars. your smithing would be about 53 by then, your mining maybe 64-65. now, with over 2k steel in your bank, come to the forums and check out one of the traders that offer cash + ores for steel bars (like TITAN steel co). trade your 2k steel for more ores and cash. with the cash you should buy more iron, and mine more coal to match the iron you got. each trade you should increase in size by a few hundred bars, till by the time you have about 5k steel, youre level 68 smithing. now you can make mith plates, congratulations!

 

 

 

once you get to level 68 and you realize that full mith is absolutely worthless, you have 2 choices. just say **** it and cash out all your bars and ores and change your profession (fishing, woodcutting, merchanting, or if your a member, lots of other options) OR, do like me and keep smithing. youll be above level 70 mining and pretty rich (and maybe about 6-8 months older). the next step is addy, and thats a whole different ball game, bro.

if you need to get your smithing lvl up that bad then just work on it non-stop and nothing else and instead of smelting ur ores right after u mine them save them and then smelt when u get alot. much faster

This is one of the most important things in this post, do this FIRST, you will go up several smithing lvls.

 

If you do this at lvl 1, you go straight to 29, I would guess this quest will take you from 30-36, just my guess. I expect shades post probably explained everything else you need to know, I didn't read it.
