The old PK/Video/Wildy/3 item trick

Ok I just had one of these famous scams tried on me, but fortunatly thx to tip.it forums I knew the score and was prepared, I will give you a brief run down of what happened,

 

 

 

The guy, a repectable lvl 97 came up to me with the "I want to make a Video" spiel and i thought I'm up for this (as I knew about the scam already) plus I wanted his 3 items, so off we go to the wildy, he was feeding me some bull about how it's going to be on TV and I was taking it all in :)

 

 

 

So on the way he wants to trade with me to see if I have any things in my inv, hmmm I thought, I have been rumbled, so he tries to trade and offers me 70% lobsters 4 mystic blue tops a dds 10 air runes and 5 law runes, well obviously I couldnt accept so i declined, and said ohh I forgot I got my cooking gauntlets in my inv, he tells me to drop them, but I say "no" lets pop to the bank and put it back in, just to stall him a bit, I deposit the so called gloves, which was infact an ectophiral and withdraw 10 air runes and 5 law runes, this time when he checks to see if I have empty inv I have .....

 

 

 

So we get to the spot, lvl 8 wildy north west of edgeville, Ichecked his mage on the way to see if he could tele block me, but he couldnt, so he goes to trade with me I needed to accept the trade so I could report him, so I accepted but he declined, so he then tried again and he accepted this time, but I declined. I then tele'd to Ardy and reported him for Item Scamming, which technically he has not done, but according to the report they can see 60 secs before and after the trade. and I hope he will be banned and lose a nice level 97 account.

 

 

 

Sorry i didnt take his blue mystic tops guys, but I thought that was a little imorral, and I would rather see these people banned then carry on abusing people.

 

 

 

I pm'd him to inform him I had reported him, and he cried about how someone tried the trick out on him,and how he lost his whip. let's hope this is a lesson to scammers out there, we know these tricks and will report you if you try them :)

Lol..... :D when he said he got scammed of his whip and how he was trieing to scam u u should of said the old saying....."Two wrongs dont make a right..." so next time he'll think a little brighter next time :lol:
