May 21, 200620 yr My account in runescape got locked because I had the same username and password as my user in this forum. I tried to recover a locked account but they said I didnt supply enough information for them to give me the account. Is there anything else I can do to get my account back?
May 21, 200620 yr Jagex has locked many accounts as a PRECAUTIONARY measure. They've not been hacked, Jagex is just trying to be careful and ensure these accounts do not get stolen. The last two topics have a lot of tips and ideas on what info to supply to Jagex to convince them that "you're you". Some people are saying it's taken them 5-6 appeals before they get it back. They are supplying info such as date of birth, month/year you started playing, etc. The info from payment e-mails is the BEST way to get the account back. Another poster in this forum suggested identifying stuff in your bank, such as what color your cat is, but I don't know if that is relevant or not. I'm sure you'll manage to get it back, as many have already. Just keep trying. EDIT: postscript - I heard from soda and he did get his account back after several attempts. Yay! it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
