Could someone explain?

Ok, so im wanting to get cooking up and make some money so i decide hey last week people were selling raw lobbies 200 gp each so i go and place an ad for 5k raw lobbies for 1 mil gp. I notices some other posts of people selling raw lobbies for 300 gp each :shock: and cooked for only 250 gp each :shock:. Now, unless im missing somethings, how the heck do you make a profit or even break even this way? ive been called a "noob" ( :cry: ) for asking why the prices of raw is more than cooked. Could someone plz explain this insanity to me?

hey your not alone on that i think its stupid too but i believe its to do with the fact that if its raw they dont get xp from it if its cooked its just food (Not very good food either) but it gives a hell load of cooking xp at least i think so, so maybe thats why?

i know its not fair though really because right now im at lvl 63 cooking and with cooking gaunts (i love those things) i can cook 100% lobbies

 

 

 

However even with guants i can burn anywhere from 1-5 swordies per full inventory so that is out of the option

 

 

 

So is there any other way to get 2mil more for a whip? maybe rune set merchantings(ive never merchanted before :oops: )

make 224k cash. keep hopping worlds and buying death runes from port sarim or void knight runes stall and resell deaths 300k. from 224k you should get 1k deaths and have some left over and you resell for 300k and keep doing it until you get to 1 mil. When 1 mil i say buy black cav 900 - 950k and resell for 1 - 1.1 mil.

 

 

 

So steady profits merching is simple buy low and sell high. It's what to merchant that puzzles you and absolutely whatever you do

Well, the reason I've been told (Yes, I've gone through this as well) is that since the "Cook All/X" button was released, people just went crazy to reach 99 cooking, and therefore the demand of fish went up, and well, you guessed it - so did the prices.

 

 

 

That also explains why the cost of cooked food, has dropped (lobsters anyway) because of the enormous amounts of raw lobsters people have bought and cooked themselves.

what about the chest of runes from rogue trader? its only 225 gp a death rune, how about that to do it?

i used rogue trade and used the 900k to buy 4k deaths and now have sold for 1.2m making 300k profit :D
