i just did a level 1 clue and for my reward i got a rusty sword...anyone know what i can do with that???

You can refine it and get a random sword from bronze long-rune long

Take it to Tindel Merchant in Port Khazard (near the Fishing Trawler mini-game) -- he will identify it for you and return it as the type of sword he thinks it is (random type). I believe it costs 100gp per rusty sword.
