June 7, 200620 yr Ectofuntus gives 4x the xp, so technically none of the new construction altars are better. HOWEVER, considering that there is no slime and bone grinding involved (both of which are done by very tedious and repetitive clicking), the new altars are the best thing since sliced bread. Jagex's Knowledge Base discusses the new altars and benefits.
