Portal Chamber question

Featured Replies

Is there difference between the Teleport Focus and the Greater Focus. If I get the normal Teleport Focus and I upgraded later to the Greater Focus, would I have to get the runes again? Also does anyone have a Portal Chamber with three portals and the normal Teleport Focus, or will the Teleport Focus only let you use fewer portals?

Thanks

I'm worried about this too, I don't want to waste loads of runes and then have to replace the portal/focus and lose them all again. I think kwimbob was doing a test to find out, or if anyone with high cons knows either.

The conclusion thus far is that there is no difference between the teleport focus and the greater focus, except for looks. Additionally, you do not need to RETAIN the focus once you've used it on your portals - they function independently once charged. You can rip out the focus and put in a scrying thingie at your convenience.

You'd only need runes again if you wanted to focus a portal on a new location. (Not sure if you can re-focus an old portal, or if you have to tear it out and make a new one, though.)

Hope this helps.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
