pokemama
I suggest Tip.It's slayer skill guide http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=slayer_guide.htm Go to Burthorpe to the easiest slayer master to test the waters slowly. That's all you need. The deal is that instead of trying to decide "gee, what monster should I train on today?", the slayer master assigns you X number of Y monsters to kill. While you train slayer, you are still training your combat in whatever way you select (aggressive, controlled, or whatever), so you're increasing more than one skill at the same time. it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. DEV1L
slayer is like a monster hunter skill go to a slayer master ( a yellow skull on the map ) and he will give you a task to do to prove you are a mighty slayer and he/she has their own shop full of items first to buy is the gem to contact him/her (like a mobile phone ) he/she will tell you to kill erm for example 23 goblins you will get slayer exp when you kill one until your task is done then you will need a new task just chat to him/her again some monsters need special slayer equipment to kill avalible from the slayers shop but allways remember the gem so you know how many of which monster to kill so there you go slayer in a nutshell and dont forget the indepth guide on tip.it :)
Noctis
That full Guthans you've been asking about in another thread could help you through slayer tasks as it'll lessen your need for food when you're able to use it. Times when you won't be able to use it are when your task is a monster that requires special equipment or are better dealt with in a way other than melee. dogfever
As mentioned above the tip.it slayer guide is a great intro. I also found Axe Man Jack's slayer guide to be really useful when I didn't know anything about my assigned creature. df
