Formula?

Featured Replies

I was thinking, maybe there's a way to see what weapon is technically 'better' than another... and I came up with this formula (melee weapons only ATM):

pow1 = The highest offense bonus (stab, slash or crush)

pow2 = Strength bonus

s = speed in seconds

((pow1)*(pow2))/(s)

Basically... 1.Highest offense bonus x strength bonus, and that number divided by the weapon's speed in seconds.

For example if highest offensive bonus (lets use whip). 82 (str bonus) times 1.82 (slash bonus). if it was dh's gaxe, 105 (str) x 2.03 (slash).

Here's a little list (I'll add some more tomorrow):

HIGHER THE BETTER̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ

Abyssal Whip 59.6960

Granite Maul 36.2475

this will get it "in the ballpark" but it won't be exact because you are valueing all the stats equily, where strength could mean wayyyy more then the stab stat...

did you add in the special attack od the granite maul first? that would also be something to consider, since that;s what most people buy it for. the amazingness of the dds, in a large hammer, non poisoned type form. once they use the special, i usually see people change weapons.

Note: I said usually, no flaming please. I know at least one person would want to.
