Cant install this program

Hey I tryed to install world of warcraft, but when i get to disk 3 it stops, like it says its downloading and notthing happens, lol i left it all night and it didnt work, i think what happens is that it over heats or something cuz each time i get the cd there super hot. but the thing is i install the game before like 3 times already and never had a promblem. Anthoer issue is that it i reinstall windows and lost all my drivers but i only intall my graphic card and my sound driver, is there a driver i need to download the WoW? and i havent been on for 10 days!! i waseted over 86 dollars to play lol :boohoo:

Is the disk scratched or anything ?

 

 

 

This will often cause the CD/DVD-ROM to keep trying to read the data from that area of the disc, and if the installer program isnt specifically designed to provide an error when this occurs, it would go on forever , and yes eventually the disk will become hot from spinning for the whole night.

 

 

 

 

 

I would try gently wiping the surface of the disc (start from the center and wipe towards the edge , maybe even a blast of compressed air into the OPEN cd tray (with the computer off!)

 

 

 

The only other thing I can suggest and YES IT IS LEGAL , if you have a friend that also has WoW , make a copy of his disc 3. As disc 3 is only a data disc and not the "run" disc , and you own a copy of the orginal , it is NOT illegal for you to do so.

yeah i know, but my disc are brand new all the other disc goes, but i install the game and used the disc only 3 times, but i think its the cd drive it , gives- up or something cuz i dont see acity buttons working

Its downloading? Maybe your f/w is blocking it.[/b]

Juz like alborsky says, get disk 3 from ur friend and install..

 

 

 

u mite wan to try using a CD-rom drive cleaner disk and run it.. ur CD-rom lens might be dirty.

Have you tried installing it on another computer? That'd tell you if the problem involves the CD or not.
