I've got 600 water waves to use up, so what monsters have the best xp and drops for me to use on?

If you have a few anti-fire potions then I would suggest steel drags. Fire giants would be good along with black demons if you are looking for some rune items.

better xp is only related to hp. more hp = more xp. it also helps if your spell can do a lot of damage (because you gain xp per successful casting of the spell, so if you can do more damage per spell, you'll gain more xp overall). thus, if you're looking for good xp, fight monsters with high hp.
