Well hey peeps..

I am getting so angry with my PC atm one min its working perfect the next min its not

The problem is its just freezing/crashing for no reason randomly.

Its not like a major crash its just like one second you look away from the screen and the next second you try and move the mouse and it wont move and the keyboard wont work its very anoying.. I dont get any error messages either.

Does anyone think they can help or know what the error is..

Thanks

When does it happen? Is it at your desktop or in a program or just random?

Can you do anything at all when it locks up?

When you start up do you get any error messages from windows that you just recovered from a crash or do you have any kind of logs that would show what happened?

What version of windows are you running? Have you changed anything that maybe cause this problem to surface (settings, new programs, drivers, updates, ect)

use the taskmanager performance. that thing never lies. never ever.

so you should check how much of your memory is being used, if there's any burned up stuff like that.

and i personally like to keep my machine under forty degrees. if it's starting to get hot i'd just take off the case cover and put an oscillating fan to it.

This one seems glaringly obvious to me...

If your pc is crashing randomly then this is most definately a hardware issue. There are two possibilities for a computer crashing completely - either a. You have a faulty ram chip or b. You're HDD is about to go on a head crash.

Does the HDD (Harddrive) make a whirring or grinding sound when it's doing something big or the computer is first starting up? If so - Back up your data... NOW!

Assuming that isn't the case you should open up your computer, take out the ram chips, clean up the contacts and put them back in... If you are still crashing after that then try running on one of the ramchips and then the other - The one that it crashes with is faulty, the one it doesn't crash with is bad... and yes it is possible that both ram chips are faulty as well :(

but before you remove them and start up the computer make sure you have them disabled in the device manager list, otherwise you might end up getting a nice fireworks show shooting across your mother board...
