  1. How naieve... The very reason we don't have a female presidant is because of emotion... Look at the people we have - cold and detached and able to make decisions without letting emotion get in the way! I have found many many more women who are afraid of people then men - Many women tend to shy away from confrontation and would rather sit comfortably then step out and make that move that will help them to accend (in a company or life). You have a lot to learn young'n.

    Who ARE you?

lol when did I MYSELF say you have to listen to bands that are unknown? most of the bands i listen to are popular among people who actually have taste in a certain type of music and look for bands whos music they can relate to and stick to that sort of genre, when a band goes from indie to mainstream it upsets the TRUE fans that have been there from the begging when FAKES come along and just act like they've know about them forever then there is no point for the original true fan to listen to that bands music because that band will then be just presured to write and make music that is aimed towards all those fakes and sell out to them and try to make something everyone wants hear which leads to them not being what they originally were. LOOK AT THIS EXAMPLE you listen to fall out boy cabbage and people listen to whatever love songs or type of songs their TRYING to write, trying to make it a fake style of what it used to be when you can listen to something like a band called Bright eyes who are even better to relate to for that sort of thing and are more describing while using music and melodies that really fit with the lyrics and really make their music from the heart and do it for the love of it, not like fall out boy will make something to just get more money now that they've sold out. now most of the original fall out boy fans just stop listining to them and stopped supporting them. and by experiance life to the fullest i didn't mean musically, i mean you need to open your fking eyes and take a look at what else is out their in the world, you ignorant scum. TY for your time if you had the intelligence to understand this post =D> Oh I assure you everyone has the intelligence to interpret this post - More so then the post author had the intelligence to actually use correct grammar and spelling... You Sir, are an immature idiot.
  3. Assuming none of the above worked then perhaps you could try setting your browser back to defaults and try again? It could be that updating your browser has made some screwy change to the options... Just open up preferances, clear all cache and then reset everything back to defaults... Please let me know if this doesn't work and I'll look into it further for you!
  4. This one seems glaringly obvious to me... If your pc is crashing randomly then this is most definately a hardware issue. There are two possibilities for a computer crashing completely - either a. You have a faulty ram chip or b. You're HDD is about to go on a head crash. Does the HDD (Harddrive) make a whirring or grinding sound when it's doing something big or the computer is first starting up? If so - Back up your data... NOW! Assuming that isn't the case you should open up your computer, take out the ram chips, clean up the contacts and put them back in... If you are still crashing after that then try running on one of the ramchips and then the other - The one that it crashes with is faulty, the one it doesn't crash with is bad... and yes it is possible that both ram chips are faulty as well :(
  5. First of all, your computer is just a client - It simply downloads the data from a website and formats them for your computer. The other thing that comes to mind is that the Mcafee (sp?) suite has an option where you must manually allow each cookie, If you haven't been doing this for particular websites (IE. You've denied the cookies in the past) then that would be causing some issues for you. I would look through the Mcafee options and see if there is an area where you can turn off this option... Well actually, I would be uninstalling it altogether and going with NOD32 - But I understand if you are happy with what you have!
  6. http://www.pcworld.com/howto/article/0, ... 663,00.asp Interesting concept... I actually looked at making an NT service a while a go to do this - Would have looked like a fool if I did because it seems extremely simple to do it anyway. The only problem I can see with this method is that Windows will no longer be able to index these files for search - This can be good and bad depending on what files you are protecting.
  7. By programer you mean WYSIWYG? I'm in two minds about this... I haven't really done much work with WYSIWYG since I was 13 or so but from what I can see Pages isn't too bad as well - Except you will need a mac to get your mits on it :)
  8. It's actually funny that you don't know the advantages to writing out your own code and you're trying to boast yourself as someone who knows about web design. It's funny because there are no advantages. HTML is a very very basic Markup Language. Writing all the code yourself is just time consuming. Sure it's handy if you know what the code means (which Dreamweaver helps with) but it doesn't take a genius to work out that if it says "table" then it's basically likely a table. I stand by my comment that you are a mentally challenged if you use notepad over dreamweaver. unless you're so poor you can't afford dreamweaver There's no advantage to it? I mean, there's not much I can say that rick and skelm didn't say (good job guys) but maybe you don't realize that you're talking to someone who started webpage design using all the crap. I've done front page, dreamweaver, every single online free webpage builder you can do - and then I learned how to actually code. I'm talking from experience when I say there are things I can do in Notepad that you will NEVER be able to do in Dreamweaver. Tell me, how do you drag and drop a MySQL database into Dreamweaver? You guys sound like you can't code in Dreamweaver, but you can :-w Lack of knowledge, I love it when people say that. Your statement is stupid for so many reasons that i'm not going to do you the favor in listing them Tell me - Where did any of us state that you can't code in Dreamweaver? Sure, you can... That doesn't mean you should. You can also kill youself, but that doesn't mean you should (although in your case I'm starting to wonder if that statement applied). How about you back some of your claims up instead of trying to hide behind a non-existant paradox that you somehow seem to beleive you have created on these forums. Not only are you an immature noob - you are also unable to back up any of your posts with evidance or supporting statements. Good luck in your future endevours - I feel sorry for anyone you ever build a website for.
  9. That doesn't always work. Viruses can hide themself from the list. Or still start up even disabled. It's not wise to even start disabling stuff unless you know what your doing. Indeed... but if I went into more details then 99% of the people on this forum would be lost. You cannot do much damage disabling services / apps in msconfig - so really anyone can take a bash at it.
  10. From my experiances the Macbook runs WoW fine - I don't think you'd get much more bang for your buck if you bought a MacBook pro...
  11. I still think it's funny that he said Dreamweaver requires a brain to use...
  12. Although very outdated I won some awards back in the day for my tutorials - You can view these by clicking the following link. http://pscode.com/vb/scripts/BrowseCategoryOrSearchResults.asp?txtCriteria=michael+skelton&blnWorldDropDownUsed=TRUE&txtMaxNumberOfEntriesPerPage=10&blnResetAllVariables=TRUE&lngWId=3&B1=Quick+Search&optSort=Alphabetical Personally, I'd learn Objective C (and this is coming from a full time programmer)...
  13. Nice job guys - No point adding anything else... For those more interested in the coding aspect however I will be writing a very detailed tutorial on how to code a news system in php for my blog in the next couple of weeks (http://blog.codingo.net). What a surprise - Evadek stopped posting. 13 year olds, computers, and their self assumed knowledge... Geez.
  14. The simplest solution would be to stop using a PC and buy a frikken mac... Another note would be that if you don't actually have an antivirus but can see a bad process - google it. If this does turn out to be a virus then use start -> run -> msconfig and stop the virus from starting. After you have done this - locate the file. Once you have located it use task manager to kill the process (or stop it in services if it is a service) AND explorer[Caution: Executable File]... Once explorer has been killed use task manager to start command and delete the file manually :) Once done - type explorer and get your bg processes back. Pretty nooby thread imho...
  15. You can turn auto adding off in Dreamweaver. I understand people rip macromedia off (i did). I just didn't want to say. I've never found it to be a memory hog on my system either. Dreamweaver doesn't help, it speeds processes up. Like I said, notepad offers no advantages to dreamweaver. If you wanted to make an incredibly basic page then notepad my be plausable but even then, you could still get it done quicker in Dreamweaver. There you go making bold, irrational statements again. If you seriously are of the opinion that Dreamweaver does a better job then a text editor - good on you, but don't try convincing us otherwise. You're lack of knowledge led you to beleive that the only editor we meant was notepad - in no way. First of all, I'm not a pc user - would hate to be (http://codingo.net/blog/2006/03/24/why- ... dows-worldÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ/). Personally, I use BBEdit for all of my web designs... Most of the formatting of text is done in CSS - This is something a WYSIWYG editor fails to deliver. If you are only using WYSIWYG's to design your pages - good on you... but they sure aren't going to stack up next to the equivalent design made in a text editor.
  16. To put it plain and simple. Linguns still has a long way to go before he can offer advice to others about web design. /thread.
  17. If you don't want to learn and you're just making ridiculously cheap pages for nothing more then displaying information - then sure. Otherwise... Dreamweaver (or any other wysiwyg) ftl.
  18. If you don't want to learn and you're just making ridiculously cheap pages for nothing more then displaying information - then sure. Otherwise... Dreamweaver ftl.
  19. Although your previous questions have been answered I would recommend http://haveamint.com for your statistics... It costs money but it's one awesome suite.
  20. You have GOT to be joking... Sure, all of those application are great - IF you want simple basic, static pages. And before you fly off the hook saying you know your stuff and what would I know I will point out http://darkwebz.com - None of which frontpage / dreamweaver are ever going to touch...
  21. Experiancing any other problems with the machine? Speed / performance? Check that you aren't down a ram chip and that the hdd is spinning up ok. Alternatively do the smart thing and get a mac :D
  22. http://newegg.com Make sure you know which type of ram you have before you buy. Given that it's only 256 I would bet it's either SD or DDR. :D (would only be SD if the machine was >2 years old from manufacturing date). If it is SD you're going to find it hard as nothing over 256meg is made any more... Another 256meg chip may be all you want though?
  23. Should also be able to get another switch quite easily... If it's a new case i'd see if you can take it back and get the switch changed for free.
  24. I believe only newer microsoft keyboards have them. Not sure if any other keyboard manufacturers use it. Microsoft are one of the last people to use this idea. It is on almost every laptop, a ton of logitech keyboards and many other places... Definately not a new concept.
