July 13, 200619 yr i'm just wondering, what's the best place to get my magic up from 50 to 55 using fire strike. Is there a better place then the caged lesser? and whats the best place to train magic when using curse?(my spells need to splash, so a monster with high magic def preferd) i'm lvl 36 cb btw, 1 def.So i prefer safespots. it doesn't really matter if the monster has good drops thanks
July 13, 200619 yr i'd say mage black knights from on top of the ice mountain...since they have full metal armor on, they should be more vulnerable to mage attacks... Fear the frog reaper. Hypercubes make the frog reaper happy ^_^ Or else I shall feast upon your soul!!! :twisted:
July 13, 200619 yr you also can try lessers got some good drops like rune meds and much fires so and good safe pots too
July 13, 200619 yr problem is lessers tend to be crowded during the summer, whereas there are plenty of black knights in the fortress :wink: Fear the frog reaper. Hypercubes make the frog reaper happy ^_^ Or else I shall feast upon your soul!!! :twisted:
July 13, 200619 yr Well this has nothing to do with firestrike but another easier way of doing it with being safe AND a good chance to get random events that give you stuff is teleing to Cammy, sure it sounds like a waste of laws but it isn't it gives around 50.5xp per tele and laws are only around 300 - 400 ea now. I think firestrike is a hard way to level when you get higher, max damage is only 8 so it adds up but it won't add up to 50.5 exp per hit. Mage Goal: 55/60
July 13, 200619 yr i train on white knights and im lvl 64 mage haha \:D/ Ray::P2P::::Roaming Around::::Phat me pl0x?::::Beamster:: \:D/
July 13, 200619 yr I suggest any multi-combat place. You could do the white knights in the screen/torture room on the second floor of their castle in Fally. White knights won't first attack you, (the black knights usually do) Just cast through the screen at the knights. It's also close to the Fally west bank. You could also cast from the key room in the Varrock sewers across the water at the 4 zombies in the ladder room. Perfectly safe and no monsters (other than random events) spawn in your casting spot. The advantage of using Firestrike is that you can auto-cast it. The disadvantage is that Curse earns you more mage exp for the same price. You will earn about 18 mage exp for fire strike vs always 29 for Curse. Hope this helps.
July 13, 200619 yr Author ok thanks for the many suggestions, it seems curse is also pretty good and cheap exp, but on wich monster should i cast it?
July 13, 200619 yr ok thanks for the many suggestions, it seems curse is also pretty good and cheap exp, but on wich monster should i cast it? Cast on any monster that can't reach you. The idea with Curse training is that you will always get the full 29 mage exp for the cast. It doesn't matter if you fail or not. It's always 29. So wear full armor of any metal type. That's Full helm, plate, legs, and shield. You will have -65 for your magic attack stat. It you want to save on runes then get an elemental staff (Water or Earth) and also wear some green dragonhide vambraces. Now you can go almost anywhere and cast away. I prefer the multicombat areas so that I will (almost) always have a target. I like casting from the key room in the Varrock Sewers across the waters at the 4 zombies in the ladder room. It's a perfectly safe spot since no monsters spawn there and the zombies can't reach you. There are plenty of other places: Port Sarim jail, caged lesser, red monk under the stairs, ducks, white knights behind the screen, etc. The trick is that as long as you fail when you cast (-65 magic attack) then you can keep on casting on the same monster and get 29 mage exp each time. Hope this helps
