I am at the part with the 9 panel door (I was able to get thru the 4 panel puzzle). What combination do I need to use to get the 9 panels to show up right to unlock the door?

I'm not entirely sure whether or not you mean the bird puzzle thing. If you do i suggest you start from the top left corner, work your way to right corner and then row by row work your way down, left to right. That's the way how i did it and it took less than a minute to complete.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either

a fool or a coward.

Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law

is both.

For a wounded man shall say to his assailant:

"If I live, I will kill you, If I Die, you are forgiven."

It did not work at all. Neither tip.it or runehq give a good description of how to beat this puzzle.

It works logically, when you flip one, 8 around it will flip too, so using that knowledge flip them.

Try starting from the middle then. Flip so that the center one is correctly and others around it are not. Then flip 3 to left from the centerpiece in the middle row, so that you get the surrounding left side of the center piece correctly as well. repeat to right, below and top. Now flipping the rest shouldn't be a problem.
