darthprince007 Posted July 23, 2006 Share Posted July 23, 2006 I have 1k coal and I don't know weither to just make 500 steel bars with a regular furnace or 1k steel bars with the blast furnace So i guess my question is, is the blast furnace difficult and worth the time to use? kdb148 Posted July 24, 2006 Share Posted July 24, 2006 I find it fairly easy to use, personally, by myself or with other people. But there are several drawbacks to it. 1. You have to be level 60 smithing, or it costs money to use. 2. You have to be level 60 smithing to use the anvils there 3. It's very far from a bank, so it's NOT recommended for making anything unstackable under addy that you don't plan on alching. This includes smelting bars you plan on banking to sell later. It's best for making mith or steel plates to smith and alch right there, or for stackable things like iron knives. I use it fairly frequently when smelting a large amount of addy ores, but that's more to stave off boredom than it is for convenience. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
