I have tried searching for the answer to this questions but can't seem to find it. Where can I get a Rune Kite Shield and a Rune helmet? Do I have to do a quest in order to get these items?

When your defence reaches 40, you can wear any type of rune armor, except rune platebody, you have to complete a quest (dragon slayer) To be able to wear rune platebody. You can wield a kite and wear a helmet, no quests are required.

At least in F2P, only bought from other players (typically world 1 varrock west bank area).

 

 

 

Rune full helm is a possible (but rare) drop from Greater Demons, and the only place to meet greaters in F2P is a PK hotspot in the wilderness ... do you feel lucky?

 

 

 

If you PK'ed a full runer, unskulled and without protect item, you'd probably get the helm, weapon and amulet.
