Quests to up my Smithing, need suggestions

Howdy All, I am trying to up my smithing. I am currently lvl 47 and I'm trying to get to 50. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I mined 600 coal and 300 iron to make 300 steel bars. Hammered those into steel legs and skirts, and it didn't raise me enough (well, it did raise me...from 45 to 47)

 

 

 

So, I wanted to ask if anybody knows quests that grant good exp in smithing. I am currently doing "Between a rock..." (that is what I need lvl 50 to continue). I did "Knight's sword" (gives 12K exp), but haven't found another that gives more than 1500 or so.

 

 

 

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

You can also make knives with iron ores and rings of forging.

I just did the "elemental workshop" quest. It's very easy, and gives 5K smithing and crafting. So anybody out there who's like me...do that one!

 

 

 

(btw, I didn't lvl up ((DOH)) but I AM now only 300 away from 48!)

I would recommend doing Family Crest and then getting goldsmithing gauntlets. Just mine gold and then smelt them for a whopping 56.25xp per ore. I think that's better than smithing rune. Correct me if I'm wrong though. There are a few people that reached 99 smithing with the gold ore method. This way, you don't have to smith anything to get the xp. Afterwards, you can train crafting with all the gold bars.

 

 

 

Look up mining maps at Tip.it and decide on which is the best for you. Some good ones are Brimhaven, Azranian mines, Crafting guild, or the new Lunar Mine.
