Armor choices.

I have to make a decision regarding a new set of armor. Please tell me if my opinions are valid:

 

 

 

Helms-----------

 

D Med: Waste of money, and saves over whip.

 

Beserker: Decent and cheap. But ugly.

 

Heralded rune large: Looks amazing. Cheap. Doesn't save over whip, for sure.

 

 

 

Shield------------

 

Obisidian: Matches with whip. Stats aren't extremely good. Expensive? (Why, you can buy it from the store...). I don't remember if it saves over whip.

 

D Square: Looks decent. But stats are horrible, considering its the most expensive sheild. Saves over whip.

 

Heralded rune kite: Looks amazing (Zammy, if I had 70 pray... but for now, skull) Cheap. Stats aren't terribly good, but they're decent.

 

 

 

Body and Leg Armour------------

 

Dragons: Waste of money.

 

Dharok's: Best stats in game, not terribly expensive, looks really good. Barrows bonus is decent.

 

Verac's: Stats are a bit worse, pretty much useful only for large kills (soloing), I hate the skirt and the shirtlessness.

 

Gunthan's: Makes you look terribly fat. Expensive. But the best, stat and bonus wise.

 

Torag's: Makes you look terribly fat. Helm is ugly.

I'm pretty sure that Torags body and legs have the best stats...you might want to look at the Torag helm too, it pretty cheap (close to d med price?) and it has good stats. I would also suggest the obby shield because of the +5 str bonus that it gives.

Torso/Legs:

 

Torag is the cheapest of the barrows armor, plus it gives the best defenses. You only need the pl8 (which costs about 1.8m) and the legs (about 1m). Go for Toerack.

 

 

 

Shield:

 

Most important thing here - STR BONUS! ^.^ Tho it's small(only +5) go for Obsidian Shield. But if you can manage to get a Rune Defender definitely take the Rune Defender over the Obsidian because The Deffy give accuracy as well. It's like a Zam Book on steriods for Meleers.

 

 

 

Helms:

 

Definitely Berserker. Definitely. It gives +3 to str, and yes although it is small increasing your max hit is always key. I can hit a 20 although my strength is only 70 :-$ Plus Berserker is rather cheap to replace should you ever die. (Which I doubt since gods can't die, they're just forgotten.)

 

 

 

 

 

Boots:

 

You didn't mention this. But I'd go with climbing. Again -> str bonuse. Beef yourself up as much as possible.

 

 

 

Gloves :

 

Another thing you didn't mention but I figured that I should be annoying enough to tell you that you should always wear the best R4D gloves you can get.
