Ok everyone says steel plates are the best f2p thing to alch, but when I do the math it doesn't add up. Ok if I alched it it would be about 1.2k but if I sold the bars used to make it, it would be 2.5k. Someone help??!?!?

That is true, but steel plates are the only F2P item that are readily available and have a high alch price for more than a nature rune (~300).

So would it be better to alch steel plates? Or buy rune meds for 10k then alch?

For money: Rune meds at 10k.

 

For magic xp: Steel Plates.

 

 

 

Rune meds turn a better profit, however it is hard to get a lot of them.
