Chapter 1: The Plot

 

 

 

A fair haired boy in his teens was running down a hall wearing a suit that showed he was of some type of great importance.

 

 

 

"Ma'am!" The boy said breathlessly. "The people in Phase Six are doing something!"

 

 

 

"What would that be?"

 

 

 

"Several of them are trying to pass the barrier to Phase 7"

 

 

 

"Ha! As if they would make it through."

 

 

 

"You don't understand,"-he was cut off.

 

 

 

"I don't understand?...It's you who doesn't understand."

 

 

 

"Yes Madam Eternius...I apologize for questioning your authority"

 

 

 

"It's ok. Now what were you saying General Zeet?"

 

 

 

"The Saratopists are trying to get through to Kamonastery"

 

 

 

"Did any of them get through yet?" Suddenly the Queen was starting to look a bit panicky.

 

 

 

"No, but 4 Saratopist guards were killed and one of our own is going over there"

 

 

 

"They can't do anything anyway, the Undrin Treaty is still in effect."

 

 

 

General Zeet ran down the halls down the castle floors again muttering something about how ignorant Queen can be.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A chill ran down the Queen's spine. What if the Saratopists did in fact reach all the way to Phase 8? "No...no that's silly, what was I thinking?" She blocked this out of her mind. But should she tell her husband King Eternius and disturb him from his council meeting?

 

 

 

In the floor below Queen Eternius could hear the screams of disagreement. A man with a deep, joyful voice laughed heartily. Queen Eternius thought of how a peace treaty could be funny. She decided to leave the room. As she walked toward the door and walked by the fireplace she could hear the conversation more clearly. Her female instincst took over and she ran to the fireplace. She put hear ear closer to the shaft and listened.

 

 

 

"Hahaha! Eternius you never cease to fail to amaze me!" Queen Eternius recognized this voice: it was Brake the leader of the Barbarians. "Getting back to the peace treaty....." "Yes...anyway has anyone heard about that gang of Saratopists trying to hit off my wife." Questioned King Eternius. "Dam bastards will never get past Phase 7 don't worry about it." Said Brake. Monk Kamonastery from Phase Seven said "True, but have you ever heard of "The Doppleganger Scandal or the Doppelganger Scandal Reborn?" Systius the Minister or Phase One said "Yes, supposedely some guy tried to get with some other guys wife so he dressed up as that guy and got his face remade to look like him and threatened to kill his wife, so she would dump him. Then a year later some guy did the same thing but they both got caught in the end."

 

 

 

A disturbed look came upon the King's face. "I just want to take her off the map so to speak." he said. Kamonastery said "Kill your wife?" "Haha is she getting a little boring now Eternius?" Eternius responded to Brake: "I have the right to all her valuables on her insurance statement if and when she dies."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Absolutely brilliant...I really must applaud you. A bit too simple though, no?" said Systius.

 

 

 

"Yes I agree" Tiamat, Ruler of the Turnity in Phase Two said.

 

 

 

For the first time the Queen of the Saratopists: Esest, spoke "You really think you will be able to pull it off?"

 

 

 

"I'm sure, she has no idea yet." Said King Eternius.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Queen Eternius could not bear to listen any more to the sound of her husband and many others agreeing to "knock her off." She ran to her chambers and ordered the maid to shut her in the room for a couple of hours and the Queen went to sleep.
