Tiny elf crystal?

What do you do with a tiny elf crystal? I have 5 of them but don't know what they are for lol.

Tiny elf crystals are the basis of the Lletya Teleport crystal (like Crystal Seed is the basis to Crystal Bow). To recharge it, Talk to eluned, she will charge you 750 for the first charge, 20% thereafter until 150 per recharge. Each Recharge gives 3 teleports (i have 53 crystals :P)

first few charges cost some money but after about 3 or so charges, tiny crystals becomes 3 charges for 150 gold... a pittance.

 

 

 

They act just like the ectophial in that they are single click panic teleports (not sure up to what level of wildy other than they own for abby runs).

 

 

 

Basic pros and cons of ecto vs elf as instaclick devices...

 

 

 

Ecto pros

 

-easy to spot in inventory for panic clicks =)

 

-great location for farming and smelting not to mention getting to the rumdeal area and mostly harmless.

 

-Easy quest to complete (ghosts ahoy)

 

-Trivial (and free) to recharge

 

 

 

Ecto cons

 

-unique item that will not allow you to legally have more than one of... nightmare for the organized bank

 

-Longwalk (even with canifis teleport) to replace

 

-Trivial to forget to recharge

 

-not close to a bank and very very far from an altar.

 

 

 

Elf pros

 

-Three charges to a crystal

 

-Able to obtain limitless duplicate crystals by killing elves in lyetia - trivial if you can use crystal in the first place.

 

-Common drop from Lyetia Elves - a slayer mission favorite.

 

-Port location is close to both bank and an altar

 

-Great location for fletching and WC plus places you in the middle of one of the most dangerous pve areas in game - saving you alot of walking.

 

-If lost, it's possible to have another one all ready to go.

 

 

 

Elf cons

 

-Hard to see icon - quite possible to have a 0 charge crystal in inventory and think it has charges.

 

-Difficult to obtain (must start mep1) compared to ecto.

 

-Rather a bother to recharge in that it takes a trivial amount of money (inventory slot taken) and is about 6 dialog boxes into a conversation with an npc who likes to move around.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I personally have over 100 tiny crystals from slayer and have about 30 of them charged still. I stopped ever using ecto in wildy and use it only for farming and basic transportation to the ectofunctus area.

 

 

 

I could lose 15 elf crystals and not bat an eyelash. My new abby buddy hands down is the tiny elf crystal.
