If you are on a slayer task and your str/att is high enough(85+), then meleeing metal dragons is more than twice as fast as maging. Just dont forget your black mask, super strenght pots(although irons drop these sometimes) and zamorak brews. Zamorak brews could be replaced with super attack but zamorak gives 2 more attack bonus and also about 10% prayer restore.

Btw, at lvl 121 combat, I find myself meleing iron dragons easily with pray pots, anti fire pots, super att and str, black mask and initiate armor.

by the way, has anyone ever tried using verac on metal dragons? i mean, if the whip never hits, it might be better to take a few damage each kill for the time you save.

Yeah, except I intentionally left out metal dragons.

Omg, I never use taverly dungeon... It is way too far deep in the dungeon..... I use Gu'Tanoth all the time... Just bring a ring of dueling so you can kill 12 or 13 blue drags... Take their bones and d hide to sell later on world 2 and you can make4.6k per drag.l.. 4.6kX12= 55200gp per load!!!!! Then you can have your ring of wealth equipped and have you dueling ring in inven... So, then you can also bring a range pot.. you'll kill them fast if you have at least 64 range and then you pot up...
