this will prob sound stupid but is silverlight good for anything in the game apart from the quest?

I believe that in normal use its stats are similiar to a steel long, but when used aganst demons, it is equivalant to a rune long. So, if you enjoy killing demons, it might be, if not, not really.

is that only to the demon u kill in quest or lesser demons too?

no im quite sure that it is equivelent to a rune long when fighting any demons, i have seen people test it and tried it myself.

yea when your fighting any deamon it is equivilant (sp?) to a rune long or what i think just a normal rune sword. But it is still more effective to use a rume scimmy anything above e.g. dragon and barrows. But if you are only able to weild addy and below weapons this weapon is very useful.

To tell you the full story:

 

In Runescape Classic, you used to be getting a message: The demon bla bla bla has reduced powers or something by silverlight

 

aka: the demon is now weaker

 

This happend after you hit the demon once with silverlight.

 

Silverlight itself was as strong as a steel long, so everybody switched to his rune weapon after hitting the demon 1 time with silverlight. This worked GREAT

 

 

 

In RS2(now ) silverlight has the same stats, but when used against a demon, silverlight is equal to a rune long. Note: the 1 hit and switch weapon does not work, because silverlight doesn't weaken the demon anymore. The weapon itself gets stronger when fighting a demon.
