magekillr Posted August 15, 2006 Share Posted August 15, 2006 alrighty...this is my first laptop..and i fought my school as to which laptop i get...but i lost of course it's a Tablet pc, a Gateway M285... now..it came witha single gig of Samung ddr2 pc4300 at 4-4-4-11...and i am upgrading to 2GB my question is...shuld i match the brand, frequency, and latency of the original? or would the operation be better if i went to 667 mhz and a much beter latency? respond today if possible..i was gona purchase it today :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think you would see a speed increase going to 667mhz with better timings (maybe 4-4-4-10 @667mhz) but then you would need to replace all of the ram :( .
