I'm wondering whether or not my combat level (83) is high enough to beat the demon at the end of the quest without incident. By "without incident" I mean without almost dying.

 

 

 

I'm going to use combat, since my range and magic levels are extremely low, and I have 49 prayer, which probably won't hold out.

 

 

 

Your thoughts?

 

 

 

Here's my strategy so far. First I will weaken him with fire bolt and fire blast, conveniently disposing of extra runes, then I'll change my armor and weapons to melee to finish him off.

 

 

 

I finished the quest without incident, like I had hoped.

I'm level 70 now, but i did it a level 54 with only 35 mage, but with a ton of runes :wink:

Does he only attack with melee? what's his highest hit?

He only attacked me with melee, but there is a safespot behind the rocks.

 

I don't know what he hits, though, he only hit me for a 5 before i got to the safespot.

You could do it np if you used a safe spot :P

I beat it at lvl low 70s, without any of the protect prayers, cakes, and lvl 1 herb att pots :shock: and I melee it. :shock: ^^

 

 

 

Either you can be lucky like me, or take runes and blast the guy.

You won't have any problem. I beat it at high 50/ low 60 cb (I don't remember) without protection prayers and with a rune scimitar/ half invent of lobbies. It was close but I still won.

 

 

 

Just use protect from melee. Take some food/pray pots just in case and melee him.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THE SAFE SPOT? i cant seem to find it. please include pics if possible.

Omg the black demon (level 172) at the end is a total noob. I beatb him when i was in the 70s and his max hit is only 18. Cakes are fine against this guy and i'd advise protect from melee. You should p00n him with this stradegy. ;)

If your facing north, then go to the southeast rocks, and just walk behind them. Safespots as simple as that=P
