  1. I've got one achievement left and I've beaten the game 100% on the achievement's level... Nuka-Cola Quantum search is kicking my balls. Only 3 more to go though.
  2. I was just playing the first one 10 minutes ago... When does the second come out?
  3. Not sure if anyone else is involved, but the charity web site search kindly (http://www.searchkindly.org) is currently really struggling to pull in visitors. It functions the exact same way as google does with the exception that all the money from advertising goes to charity instead. If you don't really care about the search engine you use, please consider making this your homepage- they could really use some help. I didn't want to post this in the "Advertise your thing here" thread, as I didn't feel it would generate as much traffic as on the main forum. Thanks!
  4. You go ahead and start leading through example. We'll deal with all of the murderers still alive. Are you so naive that us just stopping with the death penalty will stop all murders? Some of the people on here are just... :wall: We can lead through example as much as we want. It may work on paper, but paper doesn't count. Again, this is America. Our inner cities aren't the safest. Leading by example is a stand that'll never have any serious impact on crime.
  5. Maybe, but this means nothing unless it's actually working. Which it isn't. It is a deterrent. Each execution saves 18 lives. http://www.cjlf.org/deathpenalty/DezRub ... rFinal.pdf The report admits a margin of error of +/- 10 on a conclusion of only 18, and you think this is reliable? A error margin of, in percentage terms, 55.5%? Are you for real? I believe he is. It's statistics. Let the public do with it as they will. On a side note, I think a death penalty thread is in order here. That's basically what this thread has become. And jackattack. Thankyou for pointing that out  EDIT: :wall: That doesn't mean 8 lives minimum will be saved... it indicates the unreliability of that source. Hell, even the final paragraph says other factors may have contributed to the results. It evidently wasn't even a scientifically correct study. Again. Let the public do with it as they will. It's open info, not a conspiracy. Taking a life to save just two is more than enough.
  6. It's evidentally working. We have high rape and murder rates, and I hate to degrade my country like this, but it's America. It's not like our cities are the safest on earth. I believe that's exactly what I said. Did you expect a barrage of love for this man, who raped and killed two women? If so, you may need to seek help. We aren't killing him for revenge. We're killing him because it's just, and fair to the family. Call it revenge, call it what you will. He will feel no pain. Those women undoubtedly felt pain. He's getting the better end of the deal compared to them. I don't believe he was talking about this man specifically. But that's a damn good begining. And you can't always rehabilitate someone who did what he did. And the need for retribution is taking two innocent women's lives. All the lashings and indignities? We can give him quite a few more. He screwed his chances of being a productive member of society when he killed and raped. Don't say that if we had given him a pat on the wrist and a don't do it again, and let him loose and forgotten about it, he'd see the error of his ways. He'd do it again because he wouldn't be afraid of dying. He's getting what he deserves. We're sending him back to his maker, as is the christian mindset behind it, to let him decide what to do with the sick bastard.
  7. Dimensions: 450x300 Colours: Whatever goes with the render best, it's up to you. I'm happy with pretty much anything. Render: http://planetrenders.net/renders/displayimage.php?pos=-35326 Text: I will unlock my door... and pass the Cemetary Gates. Subtext: RIP Dimebag Darrel Other: Details, background, stuff like that- all up to you. I'm cool with pretty much anything for background, font, things like that. Thanks in advance
  8. What is your price range? I'm an avid guitar player, I've played in a band for several years now, but I know a bit about basses. If you have a fairly large budget, go with a Schecter Stilleto Bass. Killer looks, sounds good, the works. It costs around seven hundred dollars, good quality for the price. It's what our bassist plays. Amps I can't help you with; but if you have a low budget, go with an Ibanez bass. Ibanez is reliable, I love the brand. Use the forums on this site, it'll help a lot. The community is usually helpful(just avoid the Pit if you're looking for help). I'm a member of this forum, they've managed to teach me a lot about guitar :D http://www.ultimate-guitar.com EDIT: Please don't get a Squire :( They're cheap and difficult to play, and they can be incredibly annoying for a begginer at anything. They're worth a lot less than they are priced at, at least in my experience. This is my personal opinion, I hate Squires with a dying passion.
  9. And of the executioner? He too has taken a human life; and whatever way you look at it, there is an alternative to the death penalty. Should the executioner also have his human rights removed by your logic? You've punished a murderer... by murdering him. I'm not quite sure that sets a better example. A country's laws apply to all inhabitants of that country. You merely living there is a sign that you agree to, and will adhere to the law of that land. If you don't agree with the law, move to another country whose laws you do agree with. I hate to say it, but that's the mindset of every person against the death penalty. The death penalty is more or less of a show. They do it to discourage people doing things along the lines of what he did, by ending their lives. They don't do it for pure sadistic pleasure, they do it because he deserved it. He made the choice, it's time to pay the consequences. It's not a matter of him being murdered. He's being put to death for a reason, and he had no reason good enough to rape and kill two innocent women.
  10. Indeed. I'm for cleansing the gene pool with a firing squad. Anyone with me?
  11. (Link to story here)And judging by our flawless American legal system, the juries will probably agree with him. Do you guys agree or not?
  12. Why? It doesn't have to be a porn centered sex forum. We can have mature conversations. For example, whether or not homosexuality is right or wrong isn't for an 8 year old. But they're gonna get exposed to it sooner or later unless they decide to crawl in a hole for the remainder of their lifetimes. Every person on here has to be 13 or older. If they aren't it's their own fault for joining. With the state of the earth as it is everyone on here under 13 has most likely heard and seen a lot worse, with the news and things like that. I can understand cracking down on racist threads, and racial flaming and the like. Things like that don't act as a catalyst for mature conversation. But things like the homosexuality thread actually bring forth some mature conversation, and causes people to actually think. And religious debates and things like that, it helps bring forth intelligent conversation. If you try and steer clear of violent material, most of news articles posted every now and then won't be acceptable. It is what it is, and a lot of the folks on the OT enjoy intelligent conversation. Granted, I haven't come here for a while, but it doesn't seemed to of drastically changed. I think you're taking this a bit to far.
  13. I was almost asleep last night, and when I'm almost asleep, I turn into a very...random... thinker. This is what I thought, and I've been pondering it all day. I finally decided I need help to figure it out. If you rape a prostitute, is it actually rape or just theft? I'm confused on this one. If it's to inappropriate, just lock it. Help me out here purlese! Thankee much
