1. Fire orbs are used for making Fire Battlestaff, by using the orb on a 'Battlestaff', with the appropriate crafting level, you make a staff with better melee stats (same function and mage bonus) as Fire staff. Price i am not sure

 

 

 

2. Rune Defender is obtained as a drop by the Cyclopses on top of the Warrior's Guild. Read the tip it guild on how to obtain these. You must start with bronze defenders and work your way up to rune.

 

 

 

The stats are the same for both ATTACK AND DEFENCE bonus:

 

 

 

Stab : +20

 

Slash : +19

 

Crush : +18

 

Mage : -3

 

Ranged : -2

 

Strength : +5

 

 

 

IMHO, Rune defender >>>>>>>> Obby shield (unless you are fighting dagganoth's under Lighthouse, but even then the +5 strength does not make a difference because people usually cannon those guys)

 

 

 

Full Torag's with hammers are around 1.9m give or take 100k.
