Like the title says my computer is slow. It takes a while to load websites, and downloads that usually take 10 minutes to finish now takes about 5 hours or more. I'm using Windows XP and I have DSL.

Have you scanned for viruses and spyware?

 

 

 

If you don't use these programs:

 

*Ad-aware (spyware cleaner)

 

*Spybot S & D (spyware cleaner)

 

*AVG Antivirus

 

 

 

Make sure they are all up to date before scanning.

 

 

 

Then if it's still slow post a hijackthis log. Get the program here

are you running service pack 1 or 2? Hopefully 2, you can check by opening your control panel, clicking on system, and it will say there.
