Can I use another weapon to damage the turoth then kill with special weapons like rock salt on rock slug? Or will they only be damaged and killed by special weapons?

I'm 99% sure you can only damage them with the special weapons =)

The only things that will damage them are broad arrows, leaf spears, and magic dart. Though I hear guthan works anyways.
