Furnaces......noobs asking for 1 steel bars? hmm

Featured Replies

Hmm you smelt a steel bar in a furnace. You know there has to be a little piece of that bar still in the furnace. Adding my suggestion would get those noobs standing next to furnaces spamming buyign 1 steel bars away and out of your hair.

Any bar that is smelted produces left over fragments in the furnace.

You collect these fragments and put them back into the furnace with more of them at the same time and get a bar of those fragments.

Bar Type---Needed fragments to make 1 bar

Plz comment on what you think i just thought of it right at this very moment

Kinda like finding change in a vending machine?

The idea makes me laugh, but I don't know that the game engine can acurately keep track of something like this. Things like the forging ring are specific to the player, but there are really only a few "counters" when it comes to player actions or activities (mini-games come to mind, but I can't think of anything else).

But how would this deal with the stated purpose of dissuading beggars?

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but, I am not sure you realize tht what you heard is not what I meant.

instead of jagex wasting their time on this suggestion, why dont you just sell the guy a steel bar?

Some guy at my school shoved a crumbled $10 bill in a vending machine and left it there. Guy who got it? no not me, my arch-enemy......Jack......curse you jack!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway on topic, I dont think this is a great idea, I mean unless the fragments disappear at a MAXAMIUM of 1 minute and are nontradable, its like giving noobs a reason to stand around the furnace making money by doing nothing, thier better off scamming people (or not) at least that takes some skill. However a way to bypass this loophole is to make smithing level requirements in order to resmith the bars, and make it at least 5 levels beyond the requirement to smith the bar in the first place. I like the idea if it gave extra smithing exp. And curse those noobs!!!curse them...a bit less than jack, jacks eviler( i was next in line :( )

Besides you can always igore them, unlike Jack. Ok sorry I got carried away.
