Well I'm supposed to talk to evil dave about what he ate and everything right? But when I talk to him and trying to explain i just say "oh never mind,"

 

and nothing happens. What am I supposed to do?

I cant do that yet. I have to talk to dave to find out what he ate, but he wont tell me.

Check your quest journal. Eventually you have missed to talk to the gypsy or the cook about Evil Dave.
