When I get to the startup screen, the main menu bar shows, But i dont think Java is starting up.....Ne help....ive recently installed yahoo widgets if that helps...

Futhermore, what appears under the menu bar? Sometimes scripts or Javascripts blocker will block RuneScape from loading. If it appear a blank page, most properly a specific software had block it.

would it help that ads on the rs page are being blocked too

somethings really wrong. i tried to dload firefox, and it wouldnt work....the place where u click wouldnt come up Eh?

If you're using firefox, the ad's normally will be blocked. The link to download java is http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp

 

You must enable javascript and cookies in your browser for the duration of your Java Installation and verification. If you're using IE and the ad's is block, it's weird because i don't think IE blocks Ad's.

What browser are you using? If you're using firefox, To allow cookies click option -> privacy -> cookies. Click on "Allow sites to set Cookies".

 

Still on firefox, to enable Java and Java Scripts click option -> content. Click on "Enable Java" and "Enable Javascripts".

Im using IE6. i tried to dload firefox to possibly fix it, but i cant.

For IE6, opps sorry i'm not using IE6 but IE7!! Sorry but i forgotten how in IE6. I'm not very familiar with IE, because i use firefox the most. Sorry but in IE i can't help, ask someone else...

Still doesnt work, it worked before i installed yahoo widgets, then the yahoo toolbar got installed, nothing would load, so i deleted it, and the problems started

Forum mod has suggested ingame for me2 run a full system scan 2 check if the widgets or nethin i have downloaded have been a virus

You installed widgets? Oh ya i didn't notice about it. A virus? Maybe yes, but i'm not very sure because i never installed these stuff before. Gtg to bed so you can don't reply frequently. System restore doesn't work if your problem had happened for too long. If your system doesn't have a problem, system restore will not work i think.

What antivirus you using?
