August 25, 200619 yr Hmmm....well....ehh....Not too bad but I got a whole list of CC for that... The sun, it goes white? Ok, start with an orangey, yellowy sorta colour and end with peach in the shading and if the sun is like how you drawn there, then you should shade from dark at the bottom left to lighter at the top right. Don't exaggerate the shading so much, because the gaps are small then it seems to look well err...CRAP, sorry but I had to say that... :? The guy, well that's the thing I hate the most but the anatomy is a bit wrong, you should start by drawing the person with no armour, then add in the armour bit by bit with shading, should help a lot (work on that whip and shield  ) The tree is just a blob of brown with some green at the top. Work on the anatomy of the tree and curve the shading, then actually draw the leaves, one by one. Pixel art is how it looks at the end, not how fast you can do it. The sky needs to be shaded bit by bit, so you should edit the colour 1 lum at a time, it makes it look AMAZING but you have to be really skilled to get it 1 pixel wide and make it look natural! The grass needs to be dithered, so all you do is shade it, lightest nearer the light object, and darker away from it. Then all you do is merge the colours like this... I'll do the example with 3 colours, a dark, light and medium green. You should shade it like this... Zoomed out it looks quite nice, but you can then go onto dither it! This means merge them together pixel by pixel. This (when zoomed out looks like more colours because when 2 colours are merged, your brain gets tricked into thinking it's one colour! So it looks like this... And that's how to dither! It looks really good when done on grass! Thanks Terley for a great shading tutorial! Hope this helps and good luck with pixelling! August 26, 200619 yr You don't shade the sun. The sun is the light source itself. ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¢Ã¢ââ¬Ã
