Al-Kharid fishing? Shilo fishing?

Featured Replies

When I say I got 71 fishing on my first account from lobsters, most people respond with "You could of done that 100x faster in al kharid". I tried fishing in al kharid... and well lets just say I'm "challenged". I can't figure out how to get good exp there!

So please, what is this method of fishing that people do in al kharid?

Also, I hear Shilo powerfishing is good exp.

For both the spots, list what fish you catch, what you use to catch it, etc.

And do you need to do a quest for the shilo fishing?

Shilo is good for fly fishing, just buy 10k feathers and camp out. Cook the fish later in the Rogues den. You'll catch about 33% salmon and 66% trout.

You need to do Shilo Village Quest to access the village.

Once you have the requirements do Swan Song and start fishing monkfish, 120 xp per and they're quick.

I don't know about Al-Kharid, I only ever fished shrimp there when I was f2p newb.

Powerfishing salmon and trout was really fast exp in Shilo. I got from lvl 50 fishing to 71 (lol) in a couple days. Would monkfish be better exp than powerfishing there? I also got to meet the guy ranked #1 in construction there!

I'm guessing Al Kharid is fast exp for those who are just starting to fish, though that scorpion may prove to be a problem.
